This month, I released a new edition of The Second Life of Ava Rivers with a gorgeous reimagined cover designed by Emily Wittig.
While it’s been almost four years since its first release, this book remains close to my heart. I’m so excited to once again share this book with the world, and hope it ends up getting discovered by new readers!

Everything has been … intense of late? History in the making and uncertain and wild? Inauguration, hooray? Anyway, on top of all that I have a book out and have probably been not the best at promoting it. But it is now a book—printed, with that ink-fresh stink—available for sale online and at bookstores. Hooray! I do love this particular book and I hope it falls into the right hands. It’s official, it exists, thanks everyone who has been a part of the making and who has supported its release. *air kisses to all*

I’m in a band called Plot 66, but due to the whole worldwide pandemic thing, we haven’t played music together since March. It’s a huge bummer, but it’s just too hard to make band practice—in a tiny space with poor air circulation where people are singing—covid-safe. We recorded an album in February and will soon be releasing our new record. Due to the magic of technology and the amazing skills of our video editor Anthony Marchitiello, we are now together again in this spooktastic music video for one of the songs off our upcoming album.
